CHALLENGER SPACE SHUTTLE
FROM TESTING TO TRAGEDY

The Shuttle began life as a ground test article but was upgraded to fly in space and was launched on ten missions.  Tragically, the tenth flight lasted just 73 seconds and resulted in the loss of, not only the Challenger but all seven astronauts on board, including teacher Christa McAuliffe.  This revealing lecture recounts the chequered career of Challenger and is based upon Shuttle Challenger Aviation Fact File, Dave 1987 book on the vehicle.
